Laser TaskForce 2025 – We're looking for a deserving Christchurch charity project

In August 2025 Laser’s TaskForce of plumbers, electricians and general labourers from across the country will be in Christchurch! We're on the lookout for a deserving charity project to lend a hand to.

If you are, or know of a deserving Christchurch charity or not-for profit organisation in the wider Christchurch area, nominate them by filling in the below form on our website, tell us a bit about them and what they do and what type of project we could assist with. Plumbing and Electrical projects are our specialty but with our wider taskforce of general labourers the project could include property maintenance, painting, gardening, cleaning or even yardwork.

Big charity projects or several smaller projects around Christchurch, we want to hear about them all!

Ideally we are looking for projects that meet the below criteria. There is no cost to the recipient to undertake the project:

  • The premises need to be owned by the recipient (and in need of some plumbing & electrical work)
  • The recipient is a registered charity, doing good for their communities
  • The premises can accommodate as many as 20 – 50 people on site, and
  • The recipient is happy to help coordinate and liaise with a project manager from Laser in delivery of this

Nominations will close on 31st March 2025 with the successful project(s) being announced in April 2025.

The Laser Charity TaskForce will take place on Thursday 21 Aug 2025.

In September 2024 Laser Plumbers, Electricians, our supplier partners, and an army of volunteers picked up the tools to upgrade the Life Flight base in Wellington for Laser’s TaskForce.120 volunteers rolled up their sleeves, upgrading lighting, installing battery storage, plumbing new hot water and filters, not to mention general painting, cleaning and maintenance. The value of this was roughly $150,000 – exclusively donated labour & materials. Check out the highlights of the project below.
